Eileen Campbell

Eileen Campbell has been a publisher of books for Health and Lifestyle, Personal Development and Spirituality for the last 30 years - she pioneered this field of publishing in the UK; first at Routledge where she founded the Arkana imprint, and then at HarperCollins building Thorsons into the market leader of the genre. In 2001 she started the Mind, Body, Spirit list at Penguin, and then went on to have her own consultancy company, including amongst her clients Random House, Rodale, BBC Worldwide, W H Smith, and Piatkus Books. She has worked with a number of authors and agents, as well as continuing to write and lecture.

Eileen has also written and presented for BBC Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ and ‘Radio 4’s ‘Something Understood’. She has been interviewed for newspapers, magazines, TV and radio around the world. She has also given talks on a wide range of subjects in the spirituality field at such venues as Alternatives at St James’s Church, Piccadilly; the College of Psychic Studies; the Theosophical Society; Paths of Wisdom, St Albans; as well as at literary events like the Birmingham Post and Mail Literary Lunch, the Southwell Literary Dinner and in bookshops and to groups in the UK and Ireland, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Eileen Campbell has travelled the world and studied with a number of teachers from different traditions, seeking inspiration in her quest for answers to life's perennial big questions. She is now a full-time writer and is working on her next non-fiction book, as well as researching a historical novel set in both England and India.

Eileen's other interests include gardening, music and art. She has an organic garden and grows flowers, fruit and vegetables.
